Industrial 3D Printing Technologies
Learn more about the different options we offer
SLA
Our SLA technology delivers exceptional surface finishes, tight dimensional tolerances and outstanding detail reproduction.
Ideal for:
- High-fidelity prototypes
- Master patterns for vacuum casting
- Appearance models
- Large-format components
- Production tooling
With build volumes up to 800mm, our large-format SLA systems support both oversized components and high-density batch production.
SLS
SLS is one of the most widely adopted additive manufacturing technologies for production applications. Using a powder bed fusion process, nylon powder is selectively fused layer by layer to create strong, functional components without support structures.
Applications include:
- End-use parts
- Production-grade polymer components
- Automotive components
- Aerospace applications
- Functional testing
- Batch manufacturing
FDM
Manufacturing FDM known as fused deposition modelling is the most widely available form of 3d printing. It is an additive manufacturing technology that selectively deposits molten plastic to build parts layer by layer.
Fused Deposition Modelling enables the manufacture of durable engineering components using advanced thermoplastics.
Suitable for:
- Jigs and fixtures
- Manufacturing aids
- Functional prototypes
- Structural components
- High-temperature applications
Hybrid Manufacturing Solutions
Where required, additive manufacturing can be combined with complementary manufacturing technologies to support increased production volumes and specialised material requirements. Using SLA-produced master patterns and silicone tooling, vacuum casting allows manufacturers to achieve injection-moulded aesthetics and material characteristics without investing in hard tooling.
Benefits include:
- Low-volume production
- Production-like materials
- Fast lead times
- Excellent cosmetic finishes
- Cost-effective bridge manufacturing
CNC Machining
For applications requiring extremely tight tolerances or specialist engineering materials, CNC machining can be integrated into the manufacturing workflow.
Why Choose Additive Manufacturing for Production?
Industrial additive manufacturing has evolved beyond rapid prototyping. Today’s technologies enable manufacturers to produce reliable, repeatable, production-grade components suitable for end-use applications.
By eliminating traditional tooling requirements and supporting digital manufacturing workflows, additive manufacturing offers unprecedented flexibility for businesses seeking agile production solutions.
Reduced Tooling Costs
Injection moulding and conventional manufacturing often require significant upfront investment in tooling and moulds. Additive manufacturing enables tool-free production, making lower-volume manufacturing commercially viable.
Digital Inventory & On-Demand Production
Rather than storing physical stock, component files can be maintained within a digital inventory and manufactured only when required. This reduces warehousing costs, minimises obsolete inventory and improves cash flow.
Supply Chain Resilience
Localised additive manufacturing supports shorter supply chains and reduces dependency on overseas production, helping businesses respond more effectively to changing demand.
Design Freedom
Additive manufacturing enables complex geometries, lattice structures, internal channels and part consolidation strategies that improve performance whilst reducing component count and assembly requirements.
Professional 3D Printing On Demand
As the UK’s leading 3D printing company, we have an extensive range of 3D printing services including.
Large Format
Large format 3D printing service, utilising our large format SLA 3D printers with their impressive build platforms of 800 x 800 x 600mm.
Transparent
