Rapid Prototyping Jigs and Fixtures

Producing jigs and fixtures using FDM (Fused deposition modelling) is significantly cheaper and quicker than producing them via CNC machining. They can be built in highly durable materials that can withstand the rigours of a manufacturing environment in a fraction of the cost and time.

Tooling inventory can be kept to a minimum as parts can be manufactured as and when required. Furthermore, the design limitations of the CNC process are completely removed giving greater freedom for more efficient jigs and fixtures.

Additive Manufacturing also makes it practical to introduce at late stages jigs and fixtures for operations where they have not been previously budgeted or design feasible when produced with traditional manufacturing methods.
