When beauty and packaging experts Page Creative Ltd sought a show-stopping centerpiece for PLOUISE’s latest influencer boxes – a giant, edible gummy bear cradling their coveted products – our expertise in 3D Printing technologies and food-safe moulding was the key ingredient.
The Challenge: Page Creative Ltd, a powerhouse in the beauty and packaging industry, approached us to collaborate on a unique and impactful project for their client, PLOUISE, one of the fastest-growing makeup businesses in the UK.
PLOUISE envisioned sending out special influencer boxes that would create a memorable unboxing experience. A key element of this vision was a giant, edible gummy bear that would cradle and showcase PLOUISE’s makeup products within Page Creative’s beautifully designed boxes, featuring stunning artwork and custom-made for the PLOUISE launch. The challenge lay in creating a food-safe mould that could precisely hold these custom gummy bears, all within a tight production timeframe.
Our Solution: Recognising the urgency and the need for a cost-effective yet food-safe solution, we explored various manufacturing processes. Given the project’s specific requirements and the tight turnaround time, food-safe vacuum forming emerged as the optimal choice. This method allowed for the creation of custom moulds quickly and efficiently.
After careful consideration of materials, Food Safe PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) was selected as the ideal material for the vacuum-formed moulds. PETG is known for its excellent clarity, durability, and, crucially, its compliance with food safety regulations, ensuring the edible gummy bears would be housed in a safe environment.
To bring the vision to life, a master form was precision-engineered using CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machining. This ensured the accuracy and consistency required to create moulds that would perfectly accommodate the giant gummy bears.

The Project Outcome
We successfully produced a total of 62 food-safe PETG moulds, meeting the tight deadline and exceeding expectations. These moulds seamlessly integrated into Page Creative’s exquisite influencer boxes, providing a secure and visually appealing presentation for PLOUISE’s makeup products nestled within the giant edible gummy bears. The resulting influencer boxes undoubtedly created a buzz and a memorable experience for recipients, perfectly aligning with PLOUISE’s innovative and impactful brand.
