What is PolyJet 3D colour printing?
PolyJet technology is continually evolving and is known for its realism as well as its sharp precision and ultra fine detailing. It gives you the ability to print your parts in full colour with the gradients, textures, transparency or opacity your components require.
With over a 1,000 materials to choose from it gives you the option to blend multiple digital materials within the printing process, making PolyJet printing extremely flexible.
Polyjet printing can also enables modelling of transparent parts (or semi-transparent through mixing), producing fully flexible models with a scale of rigidity that can match anything from a soft gasket to a vehicle tyre perfect for many industries.
How does PolyJet 3D Colour printing work?
Working similarly to a traditional inkjet printer, instead of jetting ink onto paper a print head will jet liquid photopolymers onto a build tray where each droplet cures in a flash of UV light. It can combine a variety of photopolymers in specific concentrations and microstructures to simulate everything from rubber, human tissue and plastics – impressive! With the detail it can produce and the 1000’s of colours its fast becoming a popular choice within the medical, retail and dental industry.
